REFLECTION TASK 2B                   

                                     

             Pantomime is a form of musical comedy stage production, designed for families. It was performed during the Christmas and New Year season. Modern pantomime includes songs, slapstick comedy and dancing, employs gender-crossing actors, and combines topical humour with a story loosely based on a well-known fairy tale. It is a participatory form of theatre, in which the audience is expected to sing along with certain parts of the music and shout out phrases to the performers. In this pantomime video, the pantomime artist Carlos Martinez is performing live in Utrecht, The Netherlands during Mission 99 conference. He is doing the mime 'The Rose'. I have chosen this topic because I have an interest in the pantomime. I watch the videos about the pantomime from time to time. I enjoy watching them because they are funny and entertaining.

REFLECTİON TASK 2A

       Hello everyone, I want to mention about possible solutions to the problem of tourism threatening the ecologies and cultures. I have chosen this topic to say because we have a house in a touristic region harmed by the tourists. Nowadays, there is a booming tourism in the world because of people's desire to see new places. Although it is considered as a good thing, it leads to several serious problems threatening the ecologies and cultures in these regions. I think that there may be possible solutions to the problem. Initially, the problem of the degradation which is caused by the tourists, may be prevented by taking several initiatives that aim to promote a new tourism culture, based on the responsible use of the environmental resources. However, it may be costly. Another solution may be the expensive air travel because cheap global air travel results in the travel boom. Finally, educating and informing the people may be solution to this problem. We should be sensitive to this problem and conserve our beauties.

      Hello, today I am going to introduce you to Alena Anis who has not been known much but should be known more due to her beauty, qualities and accomplishments. She was born in Greece in 1990. She graduated from one of the most important universities in Greece. Throughout her university years, she decided to improve herself. She took the tennis course from a very important tennis instructor and she is now playing tennis very well. Then, she did her master's degree on political sciences. However; her dream was different. She wanted to be a model since her childhood, but in these years, Greece had a very hard time. As you know, the crisis including modelling hit all the business fields in Greece. Despite all these, she did not give up her dream and decided to go to Turkey. In the early days of her in Turkey, she despaired to realize her dreams. Then, luckily she has met Acun Ilıcalı and she is now competitor in Survivor in Panama. I believe that one day, she will be a most famous model all over the world thanks to Acun Ilıcalı.

Hello, I am Gizem Bilge. I am 35 years old. I am from Aydın. I got my high school education in Söke Anatolian Training High School. I have graduated from Department of Foreign Language Education in Middle East Technical University. In my university years, I had a lot of opportunities to do. For example, I went to England via Erasmus programme so that my speaking skills could improve. I have also learned to play tennis in my leisure times. I have improved my second language 'German'. Now, I am a university lecturer in Dokuz Eylül University. I love my job. I give the free German course to my students in the weekend. I am also interested in reading books. I really enjoy going cinema in my free times with my friends. I want to have more and more people to do these activities together and I hope that I can find ones with whom I can share the excitement of the world. Come on and contact me!

1. Because Grace is a vegetarian, she must pay special attention to the amount of protein in the food she eats. Thus; she eats o lot of beans and eggs.
2. When Grace first became a vegetarian, she missed eating meat since she had always liked the food she eats. Therefore, she eats a lot of beans and eggs.
3. When Grace first became a vegetarian, she missed eating meat since she had always liked the taste of it. However; now she can not imagine eating meat because she has grown to appreciate the pure taste of meatless cuisine. Meat also tastes very strange to her; so, she is happy to be a vegetarian.
4. Sometimes it is very difficult to eat out due to the limited meatless choices on menus in restaurants. However; that is changing with the increase in vegetarian restaurants now.
5. Grace is opposed to the killing of animals as a vegetarian; so, she is disturbed by the use of animal fur for clothes.
6. She feels better, healtier and more humane now because she does not eat meat anymore.
7. Being a vegetarian, Grace feels that she is doing her share to protect animals. She becomes irritated when people question her motives for being a vegetarian. She tries to be patient with such people and make them understand the value of saving animals, but people do often not understand her.
