             GRAMMAR EXERCİSES ON PARALLELISM

# Our beagle loves to hunt. When someone opens the back door for her, she barrels down porch steps into the yards and runs back and forth across the lawn in ecytasy. Her nose cruises the wet grass for smells which are smells of cats, rabbit smells, and other presences being too subtle for human detection. She sniffs by spinnig her tail in quick circles. After clockwise, she spins counterclokwise. These two activities always occur together and seem to propel her along.

# Few people know about that The Government Printing Office in Washington D.C. is a source of much useful information. It is the official publishing house for the federal govenment. The GPO publishes pamphlets and books on a vast number of subjects ranging from the dangers of X-rays from home TV sets to the identification of mushrooms. About 27,000 publications are offered through the Superintendent of Documents. Some of which are inexpensive and no charge at all.

# John Jacob Astor who was a German immigrant reaped America's first fortune and made his initial money by trading Indian furs. Astor never learned to speak English properly because he was lowborn and uneducated. Therefore, he carried on business to the end in an accent which was redolent of the Hamburg gutters.
